IWR1443: IWR1443 ccs compilation problem

Part Number: IWR1443

Hi team,

The system is windows10, and customer uses the CCS7.4 version. The following error occurred when the customer compiled the demo with CCS.

He has installed version 2.1.0.04 that supports IWR1443boost. And set in CCS as follows:

He set the environment variables of windows as described in the SDK user guide.

  • Hi Annie,

Can you confirm which demo the customer is trying to compile and which mmwave toolbox is installed? I just successfully compiled the SDK demo (C:\ti\mmwave_industrial_toolbox_3_6_0\labs\demo0004-mmwave-sdk\demo0004_mmwave_sdk_pjt) with the same CCS version.

If the appropriate SDK and mmwave toolbox are both installed, I would suggest that the customer delete the existing project from the workspace. Make sure the "delete project contents on the disk (cannot be undone)" option is selected in the deletion dialogue box to physically remove it from the Workspace. Then re-import the project again and build.

    Good luck,

    Allison

  • Hi Allison,

    Thanks for your answer.

The customer wants to know which version of sdk we are using? Yesterday he tested and found that when he used the 1.2 version of SDK, he could compile the existing demo. (Demo path: mmwave_industrial_toolbox_3_6_1\labs\demo0004-mmwave-sdk\demo0004_mmwave_sdk_pjt).
According to top side marking, his chip should be version 2.1. He would like to know is the program compiled with sdk1.2 compatible with his current chip?

  • Hi Annie,

I used SDK 2.1 with my xWR1443 ES3.0 and the demo built and flashed properly.

Compatibility depends on the revision of the IWR1443 that the customer is using. ES2.0 is compatible with SDK 1.2, but ES3.0 is compatible only with SDK 2.1 and beyond.

    Good luck,

    Allison
