Hi all,

I am new to the TI automotive sensor kit, and tried following the out-of-the-box demo video with DemoVisualizer. I sent the configuration to the mmWave device, but DemoVisualizer gave the following error, "SDK version [major,minor]=[3,2] not matching version [2,0] reported by target. Change input version/target and try again."

However, I did download SDK 3.2.0.4. Wouldn't 1642 be using SDK 3.2.0.4, then?

Hi Alex,

Make sure that mmw demo flashed to the device is picked from SDK 3.2 version. Based on the error message, the device is sending version [2,0].

Thank you, but I did in fact choose version 3.2 in the demo visualizer, and the only SDK I downloaded was version 3.2.

Do I have to load the SDK onto the 1642? Am I missing something?

Hi Alex,

The demo program that is flashed on your AWR1642BOOST appears to be from SDK version 2.0.

The Demo Visualizer 3.2 supports only SDK 3.0 and later. So you would either have to reflash the board with a newer demo program, or use an older visualizer.

Can you please try using mmWave Demo Visualizer version 2.1.0 from the following link?

Make sure you select SDK version 2.0 at the top.
