Hello,

I'm measuring 0-10 Bar pressure with external piezoresistive sensor on PGA300EVM .

If pressure is 0 Bar DAC output 0.5 V

If pressure is 1 Bar DAC output 0.9 V

.............

If pressure is 10 Bar DAC output 4.5 V. This isn't a problem . Everything is OK. But;

For example;

I'm mesauring 10 Bar and Dac output is 4.5 V. I'm powers down of PGA300EVM-034. After I'm powers up the PGA300, DAC output is 0.5V . That's wrong because pressure is 10 Bar still. Dac output must be 4.5 V .

And I'm connected PGA300 via PC with USB2ANY. I'm switch Compensation mode after I'm activating OWI . And now DAC output is 4.5V, that's right. Do you understand me?

Briefly, can I use only pga300 without PGA300 GUI after programming with PGA300EVM GUI?

Hello Ibrahim,

Are all of your settings programmed into the EEPROM, or are you relying on changing the registers in the low level configuration or ADC and DAC settings pages of the GUI?

Can you also share what your Normal pressure upper/lower and clamp value upper/lower registers are set to? Also, how have you set the AFE diagnostics (AFEDIAG_CFG)?

Hello Scott,

My settings;

Normal Pressure upper : 4.5 V

Normal Pressure lower : 0.5 V

clamp value upper: 4.5 V

clamp value lower: 0.5 V

Is it wrong?

But I don't make special setting for AFEDIAG_CFG. After I just select "AFEDIAG_CFG" and "read selected", click the "Write Selected" buton.

How should I do AFE settings?

Hello Ibrahim,

Those settings should be fine. Another potential reason for the incorrect output would be if the EEPROM CRC has not been properly set. After every EEPROM change, you will need to recalculate the EEPROM CRC and program it. If the EEPROM CRC fails then the device will output a specific voltage for the diagnostic failure.

Hi Scott,

I'm recalculating and changing CRC after every EEPROM change. But Vout isn't changing with pressure. And I want to recalibrate but I take error

Hello Ibrahim,

Based on your clamp settings it seems like you are running into an issue at the input of the device. Can you also measure the VBRG output when the VOUT is at both 4.5V and 0.5V? It may be that in one case or the other the VBRG output is incorrect. I would also recommend measuring the output of your sensor where it enters the PGA300 at VINPP/VINPN.
