AWR1443BOOST: About the parameters of logfile

Part Number: AWR1443BOOST
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: MMWAVE-STUDIO

I've sampled same data using AWR1443BOOST and DCA1000, but I can not find any doc to help explain the logfile to acquire the relative parameters for postprocessing.

  • Hi,

Hope you are using mmWave-Studio to configure AWR1443BOOST. With that you are able to capture the ADC data and process using matlab script (postProc button click).

When you do the processing once then 'postProc\adc_data_LogFile.txt' file will be created. This file will have all the configurations in it which will be used by the Post-processing tool.

  • Hi Jitendra:

    Thanks for your reply.

I did use mmWave Studio. But the data capture is done by my partner so i can't really understand the meaning of the numbers recorded in the logfile. i want to know if there any doc explain the meaning of every parameters. and before i subscribed this question i found this page:

it seems the records in the logfile is not responsible to the real configurations.

i want to write my own post-processing programs so i want to know where i can get all the paras my partners used when the captured the data.

    Regards,

    Chan

  • Hi Chan,

The log file is only required for the built-in post-processing in mmWave Studio.

If you are doing your own post-processing, then you would already know all the parameters as you are responsible for programming the sensor before capturing data.

  • Hi Anand,

    Thanks for your reply.

now that the machine can decode the parameters in the logfile to do post-processing, there must be some way to decode it manually. i want to know if TI offers such explainary documents to users.

If not, i want to know if there is any files that records all the parameters.

I found that the mmwave studio has an option to save the settings as .json file. i want to know if the parameters included in this file are complete and suffient, and if so, where is this file saved?

    Regards,

    Chan

  • Hi,

I'm afraid we do not provide documentation on these parameters in the log file at this time.

The .json file does contain all the parameters that are programmed by the user. This file can be exported using the JSON export feature. The location where this file is saved is configurable along with the filename.
