PGA460-Q1: transducer echo data dump 7 S-to-M data output

Part Number: PGA460-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: USB2ANY

Hi Akeem,

Can you please let me know why I'm seeing only 54 bytes output in S-to-M bytes instead of 128 mentioned in table 3 of data sheet. Please see attached. Thanks,

Thanks,

  • Hi Lu,

The PGA460-Q1 EVM GUI uses TI's proprietary USB2ANY library, which is a USB-to-PC interface. The USB2ANY UART terminal uses the maximum data payload size for full-speed devices of 64 bytes. After factoring in the additional USB2ANY proprietary packet framing, only 54 bytes of device data is available. Because the echo data dump is 128 bytes in size, you are only seeing the first 54 bytes, which is incomplete as you've observed.

I have recently updated the GUI to override this limitation. In GUI version 1.0.2.0, the terminal will print all 128 bytes of the echo data dump. The updated GUI will be available on TI.com this week.
