Hi,

I was looking at below thread

and noticed that the case is handled offline.

Could you please share recommendation on how to pass FCC 15.255 for IWR6843AOP ? How was frequency stability, Peak power concern handled?

For IWR6843AOP, as Antenna is integrated within the package, So nothing much can be done on our design except following TI layout recommendations.

Please also provide recommendation on IWR6843 (External Antenna)

Hi,

The mmWave Studio suite offer various interfaces and knobs that can be adjusted for testing and debug applications.

Peak power can be adjusted by implement power back off.

FCC 15.255 part "(f)Frequency stability. Fundamental emissions must be contained within the frequency bands specified in this section during all conditions of operation. Equipment is presumed to operate over the temperature range −20 to + 50 degrees Celsius with an input voltage variation of 85% to 115% of rated input voltage, unless justification is presented to demonstrate otherwise."

As shown in the post that was referenced, the frequency stability / bandwidth can be measured using a spectrum analyzer, the occupied bandwidth can be measured during all conditions of operation. The start and stop frequency of the TX signal can be adjusted if necessary

Hi Charles,

Is there any documentation on how to get started with mmwave studio? How do we go about adjusting the peak power and implementing any required backoff?

How do we setup the IWR6843 so it is not in FMCW chirp mode to do the measurements for frequency stability, etc on the spectrum analyzer? For example to do a single tone narrowband power measurement?

Do you have any FCC 15.255 pre-compliance or EN pre-compliance test reports that you could share on the IWR6843?
