TMP303: Output pin goes High for 24 ms after Power ON.

Hi,

I am planning to use TMP303 as my temperature sensor, until I probed it and found that its output pin goes High for about 24 ms before going Low.

Why does this happen?. I expected it goes Low after Power ON.

If there is nothing I can do to change it, do you have other sensor that can do what I expect?.

Hi Sainer,

There is a spec in the TMP303 datasheet that shows the device needs 20-35 ms for power up start up time.

This cannot be changed.

For your second question, what requirements do you have for temperature switch? Do you need a window comparator function?

Hello Jalen,

What I needed was a temperature sensor that can latch to HIGH once a certain temperature exceeded, so I don't need a window comparator.

My original plan was to connect external latch's output to TMP303's SOH pin, but as we discussed it seems doesn't work.
