TDC7200EVM: Pulse Width of Trigger out form TDC7200

Part Number: TDC7200EVM

Am running expt with TDC7200EVM interfaced with Arduino UNO (SPI)

Ext clock : 64ns (in sync with source)

Ext Start:  micro seconds (in sync with source)

Ext Stop: 32ns(in sync with source)

Am viewing the trigger out on an 20G sampling oscilloscope  in persistence mode. The pulse width of the trigger out is varying in the range of  20ns to 10ms, as it can be seen from the below image.

my start signal has a constant pulse width of around 33ns. Then why is my trigger out pulse width varying?

  • Foram,

Please send me screen shots of the Trigger pulse and the START pulses. Under normal operation, after each average cycle, the TDCx generates a trigger event on the TRIGGx pin after the calibration measurement to commence a new measurement. At times post the last STOP signal and prior to a new START signal the trigg signal is initiated, this can vary in width depending on the timing between the last START and a new start signal.
