AWR1642: Data interface（data UART） does not automatically output data

Hello,

I'm working on the short_range_radar routine of AWR 1642. Now we have a problem: the evaluation board virtual two UART: COM1 (command interface) and COM2 (digital interface). When COM2 is opened directly, the serial debugging assistant has no data; only by running the MATLAB program, COM2 has data output. My question is how to make the evaluation board output data at COM2 port after power-on, instead of running the MATLAB program? Do you need to modify the firmware of AWR 1642? Do you have relevant technical documents?

Hi User,

You will need to manually input the chirp parameters and SensorStart command over the command interface. Matlab is the means by which many of these demos do this but it possible to do this over UART protocol such as Teraterm or Putty.

I need a specific data format to achieve the desired functionality.Can you give me some specific advice?

Hi Eric,

You'll want to look at the SDK-Demo User Guide on how to import the project into CCS for development.

The chirp parameters from the 'profile config' are described in the mmWave-SDK User Guide.
