IWR6843: iwr6843aop won't program

I checked the switch settings, and repowered the board several times. I updated the sdk, ccs, and uniflash to current versions.

1. The iwr6843aop board is not recognized.

2. Manually configuring get's to the next screen.

3. when it trying to reset the board it fails (above)

Forgot to mention, I am running stand alone. No carrier board.

Hi,

When you use the manual configuration, did you choose IWR6843?
Can you share a picture of the board, both front and back?
Can you confirm you are connecting to the right COM port on Uniflash?

Hi,

As documented in section 4.7.1 of the linked user's guide, the enhanced COM port (COM14) should be used for UART programming. Also make sure the SOP configuration is set correctly.

From the area scanner user guide in the industrial toolbox lab.

For IWR6843AOPEVM:

COM Port Drivers
Make sure that you have installed Silicon Labs CP210x USB to UART Bridge VCP drivers
(www.silabs.com/.../usb-to-uart-bridge-vcp-drivers) on your Windows
computer. If you don't see the Silicon Labs Dual CP2105 COM ports listed in Windows Device Manager, the required
drivers may not be installed
Silicon Labs Dual CP2105 USB to UART Bridge: Enhanced COM Port: Used to send processed radar data output
Silicon Labs Dual CP2105 USB to UART Bridge: Standard COM Port: Used for passing configuration data and firmware
to the EVM


Note the COM port numbers, as they will be used later for flashing and running the lab.
Put the EVM in flashing mod
