MMWAVEICBOOST: XDS110 USB not detected in device manager when powered on

While attempting to start a demo on the IWR6843ISK Evaluation Module with MMWAVEICBOOST, the ports that correspond to 'XDS110 Class Application/User UART' and 'XDS110 Class Auxiliary Data Port' is not detected. I cannot flash any firmware using UniFlash as there is no COM port detected. DS1 on the IWR6843ISK antenna is also not lit up when the power is on.

Is this a hardware issue? I am using Windows 10 and have attached pictures of my setup.

Hi,

It doesn't look like your board is properly powered, LED DS1 should be lit. Please confirm that you are using a 5V/3A power supply and the IWR6843ISK is properly mounted.

Thank you for your reply.

I used a lab DC power supply unit (Rigol DP832) to give an output of 5V, but only a current of 0.1A is drawn and the LED DS1 on the antenna is not lit.

I suspect it could be a damaged IWR6843ISK board.

The board was working out of the box, but it was shelved for a couple of weeks before trying it out again.

Hi,

You will need to troubleshoot the board. Can you check the power rails to ensure you are getting the right voltage levels?

I have ordered another board and the new board is working well. Maybe the old board just became faulty after a while.
