Part Number: AWR1843BOOST
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: MMWAVE-DFP

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

Hi,

The profile configuration contains the following parameters:idleTimeConst, freqSlopeConst and startFreqConst. While in the chirp configuration there are the Corresponding parameters:idleTimeVar, freqSlopeVar and startFreqVar.What is the difference between the both configurations? What is the relation between them?

Regards,

Rata

  • Hello Rata,

The profile configuration provides the FMCW  course values of the chirp properties , whereas the chrirp configuration provides the chirp to chirp variations on top of the chirp profiles. Parameters in the chirp configuration  provide the dithers used in the configuration which is additionally to the programmed configuration in the profile config.

I would suggest you to refer to the Radar Interface control document in the MMWAVE-DFP for the details of the profile configuration and the chirp configuration.

    Thanks,

    Raghu
