AWR1642: AWR1642 minimum power consumpation

Hello Champion,
Customer want to do Door Opener Warning in AWR1642. Since the application should be supported in battery power supply, they want to know the minimum power consumption of AWR1642. Is there way to only enable MSS, while disable RF part and DSS?

Hello Adam,

Once the frame transmission is done the RF portion is automatically turned OFF by the firmware. The DSS cortex can be put in reset by the MSS code.

Hello Vivek,
Do we have a estimated power value for only MSS-on case (RF, DSS turned off)? I estimated it is still several hundred mw. Do you think is it correct?

I don't have the exact number but yes it will be few hundred mW.
