AWR1642BOOST: Does the mmWave demo remove noises in the measurement data?

Part Number: AWR1642BOOST

Hi,

does the mmWave demo remove noises, such as ground noises, in the measurement data?

Thanks for your help.

Edward Lee

  • Some of the processing chain remove the static objects (see clutter removal in the mmwave SDK demo)

    Thank you

  • Hi, Cesar,

    thanks for your reply.

I have some more questions in the below:

    1. Sometimes I can see some unstable detection points in the mmWave demo visualizer, i.e., these detection may appear and disappear like flashing lights,

does this mean these detection points are noises?

    2. Except removing the static objects, does the mmWave demo perform noise processing, such as some kind of noise filtering, on the measurement data?

    Thanks for your help.

  • Hi Edward,

regarding your first question: I guess these come&go-points are on the edge of object detectability in terms of their measured data and are therefore constantly subject to discarding by the CFAR-threshold.

    Best regards

  • Hi,

Please review the mmwave demo processing chain documentation.

The demo will perform peak detection which could be qualified as "noise removal"

We will need more detailed questions for further support.

    thank you
