Hello,

I am planning to use this sensor for sensing the full level when we fill with liquid. It could be any liquid such as oil, water, vinegar, liquid soap, etc. The purpose of using this sensor is, to sense the level of the liquid when the bottle is full (15-20 away from this sensor) and shut off the dispense pump. We will be using the ESP-32 Dev board for controls to prove our the system. Please let me know, is this sensor work for our application. Find the attached schematic for your reference.

Hello,

I think that capacitive sensing would be challenging for this application because every liquid will have a different response, and it sounds like you may not be able to test all of the possible liquids used with your sensor. Ultrasonic sensing might be more suited to this application.

I recommend looking into the TDC1000. Here are a few resources that may help:

Ultrasonic will help, but the challenge here is the size. If you look at the bottle, the neck diameter is 17mm and In that 7 mm is taken out by the dispensing tube. There is no enough space to mount the ultrasonic transmitter and receiver.

Do you have any solution to support this scenario?

Hi Shaji,

Unfortunately we don't have another solution for this. Capacitive sensing may be your best option given the size constraints, but we don't have experience with this application.
