IWR1642: range and velocity achievement for proximity sensors

The maximum velocity can be improved from shorten the chirp duration, and chirp duration is related to number of ADC samples and ADC sampling rate.   Given our maximum ADC rate and minimum ADC samples per frame, I do not think we can support such a high max velocity without ambiguity. 

Let us say that the max velocity we can support is 200m/s, then there will be a speed ambiguity of v + 200*m.  But the system know your current velocity is between 200-400 through history or some other way, then we can get the right velocity estimation.   

In summary, high velocity need support from high level process.

Recently i have gone through an article  "Automotive mmWave sensors enable smarter radar"

'' Texas Instruments hopes to answer this question with millimeter-wave radar chips built on standard in-house RF CMOS technology. Introduced a year ago, TI’s radar chips offer “less than 5-cm resolution accuracy, range detection to hundreds of meters, and velocity of up to 300 km/h,” according to the company ''.

It seems at least i can get the velocity near by my requirement (360 km/h)

 My range requirement is  max. 10 meters with 2 meters resolution.  I can select   BW  77 MHz  @ carrier frequency 77 GHz.

or in which conditions i can get max velocity with TI devices

Are you talking about 1000m/s or 100m/s?   Because 100m/s equals to 360km/hour; 1000m/s equals to 3600km/hour.

We need 1000 m/es  = 3600 Km/h
