IWR1642: IWR1642 application

Part Number: IWR1642

Dear Team:
My customer wants to adopt IWR1642 for smart home.

     The application has several requirements:

1. It is necessary to test whether someone is sleeping in the bed. As far as I know, it is possible to judge whether a person is in bed by detecting his/her heartbeat and breathing.

2. If someone in the room is sleeping, someone is coming in or out of the room. How many IWR1642 do you need?Do you need one to determine a person's sleep and another to determine if someone is in or out?

3. Can IWR1642 tell if a person is watching TV or writing? This behavior may be relatively static, but there is some slight movement of the limbs.

Thanks!

Eric Shen

  • Hi Eric,

I've asked an expert to look into this and we should have an answer for you sometime next week.

  • Hi Eric,

We have a demo for vital signs detection, and a demo for people tracking. Probably these can be merged to work on the same device. You can also see the position of the person in the room, so if you know where the bed is, you can probably make a determination about what they are doing.

We do not have an algorithm for determining if someone is watching TV or writing, you would have to determine if this is possible and develop it yourself.

    Regards,

    Justin
