Hello All,

We have AWR1642 Evaluation Module and DCA1000 EVM as shown in the figure below. We are trying to connect these devices to mmWave Studio. However, when we trying to connect RS232 operations after clicking the connect button. It said "[RadarAPI]: Error: Connection failed: Calling_ConnectTarget returned 3" error on Output Window.We had selected the COM Port enumerated as ‘XDS110 Class Application/User UART’ for RS232 operations.

We also checked the tutorial as mentioned in the forum but do not find a solution: e2e.ti.com/.../3086466

    Can you please check in the Windows Device Manager that you can see the DCA1000 FTDI COM ports?

    As shown in the training slides

    Please make sure that when using your DCA1000EVM connected to the AWR1642BOOST, you need to have both SOP0 and SOP1 closed.

    Also, please use the recommended power supply setup. You should have one power supply connected to your AWR1642BOOST EVM and another power supply connected to your DCA1000EVM. Both power supplies should be rated for 5A and at least 2.5A.

    Also, make sure that you are not connected your AWR1642BOOST and DCA1000EVM through any passive USB hub. They should be connected directly to USB ports on your PC or through a powered USB hub.
