AWR1843BOOST: How can I use mmWave studio to control the initial phase of AWR1843BOOST

Part Number: AWR1843BOOST

Hi

We use DCM1000EVM+1843BOOST for testing. Use the "BPM chirp Config" (area shown in Figure 1) in the mmWave studio2.0.0.2 software to configurate the initial phase of two adjacent chirps to be 0 and PI, respectively.

First test:  USe "BPM chirp Config" to configurate the initial phase of the two adjacent chirps to be 0 and 180 degrees, respectively.

During the test, a corner reflector was placed in front of the development board. After processed by "POSTProc", the waveforms in time domain of the two chirp echo signals were delayed by 0 and 180 degrees.

Second Test:  USe " Chirp based Phase shifted"  to configurate the initial phase of the two adjacent chirps to be 0 and 90 degrees, respectively. The rest configuration parameters remain the same.

But in the second test, there is no delay between the waveform of two chirp echo signals, which processed by  the "POSTProc".

My questions are:

(1) Is there a special configuration when using  "Chirp based Phase shifted" ?

(2) Can I use  the "Chirp based Phase shifted" in  "mmWave studio2.0.0.2"  to control  "AWR1843BOOST" ?

thanks
