TMP116: Ideal test environment / method for TMP 116 & 112

Part Number: TMP116
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMP112,

Hello,

I am designing a test cell which will validate the performance of a product that integrates both the TMP116 and TMP112. I am curious what general method TI recommends for such a test? E.g. should the environment be above some volume, or is there a recommended method where a thermal coupling is used? Any guidance on this would be very helpful . thanks!

  • Hi Austin,

Generally speaking, temperature sensor characterization should be performed in a calibration bath such as the Fluke 7340. The Galden line of thermal transfer fluids from Solvay Solexis has a high enough electrical resistance to allow submersion of circuits and ICs such as TMP116/TMP112.

    Thanks,
