Part Number: OPT3101EVM
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: OPT3101

Tool/software: TI C/C++ Compiler

Hi,

from on of the query posted at your form i found out sdk of opt3101 for raspberry pi. i want to know if the sdk downloaded from the TI site will work there or there is a dedicated one. if there is any how to get it.

Thanks

  • Hi,

    Yes, the SDK will work online. However, we are about to push out an update so I would suggest waiting for the update as it adds new features. Could you also give a bit of background on how you are using OPT3101 and what you will be using the SDK for?

    Best,

    Alex

  • Hi,
       i got an evm board that works fine till 5m. moreover i designed my on board having the facility in house(2 layers) using pic 8 bit controller. the callibration procedure in ti document is followed to the best i could but of no use, i got a raspberry pi too so was thinking to calibrate it using the i2c pin built in. by the way what do u mean from online. direct connection between pi and board or through internet.
          thanks for your cooperation.

  • Hi Abdul,

    We have a new update to the SDK that ships with quick start user guide and has some new features for using the SDK as an out of the box calibration tool with prints to PC terminal. Please find this attached, take a look at the enclosed user guide, and let me know if this will be useful for you. It should compile on your raspberry pi but I would like to confirm.

  • Hi Abdul,

    No problem, please keep me posted on your progress using the new SDK as we would like to make sure it is helping in making the calibration process more straightforward and easy to follow. This same SDK I provided above has also gone live on ti.com as well now.
