CCS/IWR1642: question about SRR demo

Part Number: IWR1642
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DCA1000EVM

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

Hello, I found the following problems when testing SRR demo

1.When the vehicle speed installed with radar is greater than 70km/h, it is found from matlab GUI that there are multiple approaching targets, but there is no target on the road.

2.Is the maximum speed you tested 90km/h or 172km/h?Because using the velocity expansion theory, the maximum value is 3 times the velocity value.

  • Hi,

We have to check with the team who validated this algorithm and will get back to you early next week

    thank you

    Cesar

  • hi,How is it going?I would like to add to this question: when the vehicle speed is relatively high (>90km/h,, radar is installed in the rear of the vehicle), an approaching target will appear after passing the green belt, the target velocity is about -8m/s, of course, this is only one of the values. The road is actually not any near the target.

  • Hi Tecman,

Could you share a movie of your observations/

    Regards

    Anil

  • Attached is the video file

  • Hi Tecman,

Thank you for the video. It looks strange, and I agree that no target should have been detected. Is it possible for you to collect ADC data of such a situation? I am wondering if it is the road clutter that is confusing the Kalman filter.

    Regards

    Anil

  • I did not collect ADC data.Because when I use DCA1000EVM, I'm not sure when this is going to happen, can't see the target in real time.

  • Hi Tecman,

It is difficult to imagine what is happening there without ADC data. Could you try and analyze some ADC data of this particular scenario?

    Regards

    Anil

  • Without further information we have to close this thread

    thank you
