If a mmWave sensor is pressed directly against a metal plate, how large do the holes have to be for the sensor to function? Are there any other concerns in this type of application?

Hi Arash,
Do you have some kind of diagram you can post (online or offline), I'm having trouble visualizing what you're asking.
mmWave Sensors require a minimum of 3 cm for detection. The field of view varies according to antenna configuration, for IWR6843ISK the field of view is +/- 60 degrees azimuth and +/- 15 degrees elevation.
