AWR1642: What are the maximum unambiguous range and velocity limits of the AWR1642 device

We want to use the AWR1642 for a MRR/LRR automotive application. So have a couple of questions regarding its specifications and operating limits.

1) Can AWR1642 be used for MRR/LRR range (150/250 m). The limit to max range is governed by the maximum IF freq and also on the minimum detectable SNR. It has been shown to operate for SRR (80 m) mode in a multi-mode demo. But can this be extended upto 200 m (For only SRR mode) by utilizing very slow chirp rates like 4 MHz/microsec having a trade off with the detected max velocity and for minimum detectable SNRs.

2) Can the applications such as automatic cruise control (ACC) be targeted with this IC.

HI,

The AWR1642 is not designed for 150/200m range applications.

You should take a look at AWR1243 for this range.
