Hi Guys

Our customer is using our LDC1101. But now we have a requirement: 

For our LDC1101, we configure it a threshold as metal sense, when it trigger this threshold, INTB will tell upper MCU that it goes over threshold. But our uppoer MCU need to read it trigger info again by SPI. It will occupy MCU resource.

Now we need to a function as switch, when there is no Metal， it can output 1; when there is metal, it can output 0. no have to read the trigger info again by SPI.

So do you have this device can support it. Or whether we can realize ti by 1101?

    Hi Pengfei,

    Unfortunately it's not possible to use the switch function and the SPI communication simultaneously on the LDC1101 because of the shared SDO/INTB pin. 

    Depending on your customer's application, they may be able to use the LDC0851, which is our differential inductive switch. The LDC0851 is much simpler than the LDC1101 (there are no configurable registers). It outputs a high or low voltage depending on the inductance of the sensor coil. The switching threshold can be configured using a resistor divider on one of the pins.
