Please refer to the release notes and the User Guide of the mmWave SDK that can be found here: http://software-dl.ti.com/ra-processors/esd/MMWAVE-SDK/latest/index_FDS.html

The mmWave SDK has been verified on on Ubuntu 14.04 and Ubuntu 16.04 64 bit machines.

Code Composer Studio has the drivers for AWR1642 and also has a Linux release. If you are looking for a smaller installation package, the XDS Emulation Software also has a Linux release.

Adnan,

You will need to connect your AWR1642 device to your rasberry pi and see if it shows up in the device manager. The mmWave SDK has only been verified on the two Ubuntu releases that I specified above.

There are releases for Linux included on this page.
