I used the TMS320C6678 to configure the awr1243. From mmwave_dfp_user_guide.pdf , I knew that awr1243 need some special requestments about spi as following:
After configuring SPI with the above requirements, I want to test whether SPI communication is normal. Writing messages directly in the API doesn't work. Is there any other way to test it ?

You need to configure SPI of TMS320C6678 device as Master and with the above-mentioned configurations (specifications).
Here is the one of SPI log snapshot while Host is writing CNYS to device for your reference.
mmWave DFP provides an application as a reference to control AWR1243 over SPI. Here are few threads discussing about migrating mmwavelink_example on external Host processor.

While communicating to AWR1243 device from TMS, you need to make sure of device power on (wakeup) sequence (mentioned in above thread). And if all callbacks of mmwavelink is correctly ported then it should firstly get the power on async event message from the device (refer the mmwavelink_example).
