Hello;

Would you recommend using this product in an abundant vibration application? Do you think that the vibrations that disturb the results?(A vibration of about 300Hz) I also used the AW1642 one of your mmWave sensors. I have some doubts about its range. How many meters can I climb with the IWR6843AOP?I have seen in your videos that objects such as fog, water, glass do not interfere with RF reception and this is very exciting. How is vibration and fog coupled performance affected? Do you have a prediction?

Hi,

Your vibration period is around 3.3ms or longer, or it cause phase change from one chirp to another. So I will expect to see some smear on the Doppler domain. Usually the max reach is increasing with the number of chirps. But if the phase keep changing from chirp to chirp, we will not achieve the same level of gain. So it will affect the system SNR.

Thanks for reply.

Knowing the Doppler effect seems to be an advantage. Thanks to the Doppler effect, I will also be able to measure the vibration rate of my vehicle against stationary objects. As for the distance, at least 75meters and a maximum distance of 200 meters will suffice. Can I distinguish the effect of the doppler effect on multiple moving objects? Frankly, I don't know the exact mathematical equivalent of the Doppler. I'm investigating.

Hi,

It is quite easy to detect multiple objects if they located at different range, or if they move at different speed. For the object that located at same range, and move at same speed, it will be harder, depends on how large the angle differs.
