FDC1004EVM: How many custom sensor can be connected to this evaluation module?

Dear Sir/Madam,

How many custom sensor can I connected to FdC1004evm?

There is only 2 shield connection, that means I can only connect to two copper sensor?  Because the one copper sensor had to connect to CLN1 and SHLD1, and another had to be connected to CLN2 and SHLD2?

Do I need to break off section 3 in order for me to connect the sensors?

    Hello QiuPing,

    You can connect up to four sensors to the FDC1004. You can use either SHLD1 or SHLD2 to shield any of your sensors. In some cases it does not matter which shield you use because they are internally shorted together, and in some cases it matters which shield you use because SHLD1 and SHLD2 will be 180 degrees out of phase. This is controlled by your measurement configuration. You can read more about it in section 8.3.1 of the datasheet.

    If you wish to connect four new sensors I recommend breaking off the original sensors on the board.
