Hi,
My customer made own IWR6843 board and keeps the J1 of ISK on their board, so it can connect to MMWAVEICBOOST. But after input the 5V and connect the usb cable to pc, they can't see new com port (XDS110 com port) on device manager.
I did below test with MMWAVEICBOOST.
1. not plug in the ISK and just power on the MMWAVEICBOOST. There is no new com port on device manager.
2. plug in the ISK and change the S1 setting to map the RS232 pins to 40 or 60 pin connector (not to XDS110). Then power on the board. I can see new com port on device manager.
So it seems the XDS100 com port doesn't depends on if the UART pins are connected to the XDS110 chip (U8) or not.
Would you pls kindly advise what signal XDS100 (U8) will detect to determine if the RS232 signal is sending to it or not and let the com port appear on PC?
