OPT3004: vs. OPT3001

Part Number: OPT3004
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: OPT3001

Hi team,

Could you suggest how to identify OPT3004 and OPT3001? From I2C register or device marking, but it seems difficult to find it from the package. Thanks!

Best regards,

Sam Ting

  • Hi Sam,

We do not have a way to distinguish from I2C, but there is a difference in device markings. On the bottom side of the package there are two rows of 4 characters in the form

    XXXX

    XXXX

where X is a placeholder I have put for an arbitrary character.

    For OPT3001 you will have

    XXXX

    XXED

    For OPT3004 you will have

    XXXX

    XX04

    Best,

    Alex
