HDC2080: I2C specifications

Hi Team,

Can I have following I2C spec information of HDC2080? it seems following I2C parameters are not specified in the datasheet.

- Rise time and fall time of SDA signal and SCL signal
- Bus free time between STOP and START
- Data setup time
- Data hold time

HDC2080 was designed to be compatible with I2C Fast Mode specification.

Do you mean those spec should be equal or better than original I2C Fast Mode specification?

If yes, I will tell them to refer to original specification.

Yes, that would be appropriate. Please refer them to I2C specification document UM10204.

Hi Ren-san,

One more quick question from the customer.

It seems that the the fall time of I2C master in their circuit is too fast and it doesn't meet I2C fast mode spec though,
Do you think HDC2080 can receive I2C data properly?

According to the UM10204, min fall time is specified as 20ns, but I didn't understand the reason why the min value is specified in it.
I don't think it will be a problem, but let me check it just in case.

Hi Takashi-san,

I don't expect fall time to be a problem if other parameters, such as hold time, are met.
