Battery Life Calculator

Hi Team,

I would like to calculate the battery life of my device. I have below inputs ready for calculating the life of the battery. There are many method available in the open web to calculate the life.

Battery Current: 2200mA

Device Idle current: 80mA

Device Trasnmit [ uplink] Current: 250mA  [ every 30Sec]

Uplink Duration: 5Sec

Please hlep to find the better calculator to find the life of the battery(or) life of the device.

    hi Rahul

    There is no such thing as battery life calculator. You can estimate how long your battery will last without a charge by knowing how much load current is applied to the battery, and knowing the self discharge rate of the cell as well as knowing the current draw of the gauge circuit.

    What do you mean by:

    " Battery Current: 2200mA " ?


    I assume you meant to  Battery Capacity to be 2200mAh.

    You need to look at the Data sheet first. Find what's the self discharge rate and efficiency.

    Then calculate the Avg current for whatever the time duration(in your case as you said 30s).

    Divide the Capacity (with the self discharge & efficiency) by Avg current which will give you the result in hours.
