I am not getting the demo DCAN driver code from mmWave sdk 3.3.0.3 to work on the AWR1843BOOST evm.

In the MUX between SPI and CAN interface (here: www.ti.com/.../sprr370) where are the connections corresponding to pin E13 and E15 (CAN_TX and CAN_RX respectively) leading to.

Hi Ninad,

In SDK you can find the CAN/CAN-FD test application along with driver.

C:\ti\mmwave_sdk_03_03_00_03\packages\ti\drivers\can\test

C:\ti\mmwave_sdk_03_03_00_03\packages\ti\drivers\canfd\test

At TI-Rex you can find an application using device CAN feature but for AWR1642, although there is not much difference b/w AWR1642 & AWR1843.

Here is the mapping for MUX

E13: SPI_CLK -> CAN_RX

E15: SPI_CS -> CAN_TX

We were able to run the CAN_FD test application on the AWR1842.

However, for the CAN test application there were no packets received on the PC side as tested with the PCAN-View application.

In the above figure ( www.ti.com/.../sprr370 ), how are AR_SPICLK1 and AR_CS1 mapped to CAN_RX and CAN_TX respectively.

How is DCAN controller interfaced with this CAN trans-receiver?

Hi Ninad,

What is the version of the AWR1843BOOST?

The DCAN controller would require the MMWAVE-DEVPACK as the lines are routed to the transceiver on this devpack.

Hi,

I'm using AWR1843BOOST Rev B. I tried using MMWAVE_DEVPACK as well without any success.

I have made the necessary ECO modifications on the DEVPACK and tested the same on a AWR1642BOOST board. It was able to transmit packets using the DCAN driver code.

When using the AWR1843BOOST Rev B for CAN interface to work, the S2 position should be in the SPI.
