IWR1642BOOST: Timeout occurred before terminator was reached

Part Number: IWR1642BOOST
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UNIFLASH

Hi,

I have having "timeout occurred before terminator was reached" error when trying to run the traffic management demo code on traffic counting matlab gui. I have tried to:

1. Power reset the IWR1642BOOST EVM

2. Changed to another EVM board which I have

3. Reboot my laptop

4. Re-flash the traffic management .bin program using uniflash

However, the same problem still persist, appreciate if you can advise what I could do to solve this issue! Thanks

    Hello Zen,

Are you able to run the 1642 Out of Box SDK demo without issue?

Can you confirm whether you have ES2.0 version of 1642? The Traffic Monitoring demo for 1642 only runs on ES2.0

This error generally indicates that the PC can't communicate with the EVM. Common reasons are: wrong .bin firmware, wrong COM port numbers, SOP mode not set correctly (SOP2 jumper should be removed), or other application such as UniFlash or online demo visualizer is blocking access to COM port numbers.

    Thanks for your reply!

    1. Yes, I can run out of the box SDK w/o issue, traffic monitoring, people counting and etc.

    2. This is ES2.0 version.

    3. After repeated trying, I am able to get it up again by power cycling and turning off the power to the EVM and starting it again,
