Hi team,
my customer is working on a new project and they need a hall sensor with the following specs:
- Open drain output.
- Omnipolar.
- Receptive in a direction orthogonal to the board.
- Small package (smaller than a SOT-23 is too large)
- Field to be surveyed:
o In the presence of a nearby magnet we have: about 12 to 26 mT, depending on how we play with the thicknesses. Eventually it is possible to narrow the range to stay around 12 - 16 mT or 20-26 mT.
o In the absence of a field we have about 1.5 mT to about 2.6 mT.
They've been testing the DRV5032AJ but the minimum "Brelease" which according to the datasheet can vary from + - 3mT to + -7.5 mT, with a typical of + -5.6 mT is worrying. In fact the minimum value of the device is too close to the maximum minimum acceptable for the application.
Would it be possible to have a selection so as to have a higher guaranteed minimum Brelease?
The minimum of the datasheet must be understood that we can also find a whole reel with that value or is it just some sporadic component and that therefore we could filter to the test without too much inconvenience?
Can you think of another model that could do better for us?
Please let me know.
Thank you and best regards,
Adrian
