Hello team,

my customer attended the mmwave workshop and has looked into the e2e threads for converting the CFAR thresholds from 2.x to 3.x, where they are in units or dB. The customer was advised they were in the user guide, but can't find them.  Could you point me to were we could find it in the user guide?  

Also,  do we have a more detailed explanation of detection SNR (in the sending estimator) vs. signaling SNR (in the radar equation from the guide) vs the SDK reported value?

    Errol,

    The relevant equations can be found in the mmWave SDK User's Guide for SDK 2.x for the cfarCfg command.

    The detection SNR in the sensing estimator is used in the same way as SNR in the radar range equation shown in the slides. The OOB value of SNR is an estimate calculated in the CFAR module - from the doxygen SNR is: "CFAR cell to side noise ratio in dB expressed in 0.1 steps of dB"
