AWR1642BOOST: Phase modulation

I am doing a multi-mode radar and would like to use the Phase modulation capability of the device. Is this possible on the EVM and where do I find the instructions to do this?

Hi,

The AWR1642BOOST evm supports FMCW modulation.

If this is not what you are desire to use, then it is not supported

I am probably misunderstanding. I thought that, quite apart from the FMCW modulation, the TI devices support TDM and BPM- MIMO by the chirp pattern on the different TX antennae. Do we need for example a minimum of two radar devices ( e.g. AWR 1642) to do this or the chirp profile on each Tx antenna of a device is controllable?

Yes,

You are correct, TDM MIMO and BPM MIMO are supported. However the chirp is being transmitted using FMCW

Part of the chirp configuration the following can be configured (please check for example mmWave Studio Config GUI)

Which Tx are enabled for current chirp
What BPM is applied to current chirp
