AWR1843: CRC functionality for DCAN

Hi all,

I'm studying DCAN module by reading the "swru520c_awr18xx_manual.pdf" document (Chapter 21), as well as the source code related to it available at "mmwave_sdk_03_03_00_03\packages\ti\drivers\can\src" folder. In spite of CAN Core entity should hadle all ISO11898-1 protocol functions, as explicitly stated in subclause 21.2.1, I haven't found any reference to the CRC functionality related to the Error Handling mechanism. Consequently, it seems that this functionaly isn't provided.

Is this guess of mine right? Otherwise, could someone indicate me whether this functionality was implemented and eventually where I may find the full description about it?

first of all many thanks for answering me.

As regards your question, I haven't really found any section into the document about CRC functionality, even if in the suclause 21.2.1 CAN Core the following assertion is stated:

"The CAN Core ... handles all ISO 11898-1 protocol functions". Therefore, since one of the functionalities of CAN protocol for the Error Handling mechanism is the CRC, I would have expected that it was described into the document.

Could you clarify this doubt of mine?
