AWR1243: AWR1243 Cascade Daisy Chaining

Part Number: AWR1243

I want to create a cascaded AWR1243 solution. I was wondering if I am allowed to daisy chain the AWR1243 devices (MOSI of Chip 2 will be connected to MISO of Chip 1) as I only have limited SPI chip selects available?

Where can I find information on the internal SPI registers of the 1243 chips?

Thanks!

  • Hi,

If I understood correctly based on your statement, you want to use one of device as SPI master and other as SPI slave, so that is not possible with AWR1243.

AWR1243 works only in SPI slave mode and external host/processor connected to it should work in SPI master to communicate to sensor.

You can refer ICD for AWR1243 SPI communication detailed info.

On the other hand, if you connect multiple AWR1243 with External processor then you can connect a single set of MISO/MOSI/CLK and different CS to each device (AWR1243) to communicate.

Hope this helps with your query, let me know if you need more assistance.

    Regards,
