Hi,

Currently I am working on mmwave demo lab in CCS. As I need to debug code ,firstly I flashed xwr14xx_ccsdebug.bin file using uniflash software. In CCS debug mode every time we need to send cfg file command by command. Is there any way to start board itself as cfg file is fix? I went through mmw_cli.c file. But didn't understand where exactly change needs to be done.

I am facing one more issue. When I am trying to access user port in teraterm it's getting open, but not able to send any command. And in CCS debug mode user port is working fine. How can I resolve this issue?

Hi Rajeshwari,

To bypass CLI option in the application you need to modify mmw_cli.c, please refer this application to do the same in your application.

For the other issue, did you try flashing the default mmw demo application to the device, connect CCS to that application and check what is its status why does it not rx/tx any UART data over user COM port?

COM issue is solved. Thank you very much!

But I am still struggling in first problem. I wish to start board without sending commands from COM port. I went through mmw_cli.c, but it doesn't have all function implementations of corresponding cli command.

Hi Rajeshwari,

I have mentioned that file for reference how to implement CLI bypass feature in your case. You need to take selective code from that file in xWR1443 mmw demo to embed the CLI commands within the application.

cli.c -> radarCmdString stores all the CLI commands, you need to update this as per 1443 mmw demo.

You need to include cli.c and cli_mmwave.c in the 1443 mmw demo application.

cli.c -> CLI_ByPassApi is the function which invokes all the CLI commands within the application, [xWR1443-mmw-demo : mmw_cli.c-> cli.c (CLI_open) -> CLI_task->CLI_ByPassApi

Hope these points will help you to implement CLI bypass feature in your application.
