AWR1443BOOST: The difference between AWR 1443Boost and IWR 1443 Boost

I wonder what is the difference between the AWR1443 Boost and IWR 1443 Boost.

I searched the information that AWR1443 is used for automotive detection and IWR1443 is used for industrial applicaitons. However, they looks very similar. Is there a big difference in performance between these two modules?

Hello,

One of the main difference between the AWR1443 and IWR1443 is the Q100 qualification for automotive usage.

Thank you very much for your reply. I am not an expert in this field, so could you provide more details about Q100 qualification? Could I understand that the IWR1443 has a better performance than AWR1443 due to no more regulation limitation?

Hello Yuyong,

Q100 qualification means a more stringent quality checks are done at production for AWr1443 devices. Also the temperature range of operations is upto 125C for AWR1443 devices as compared to 105C for IWR1443 device.

RF performance will be similar.
