Hello,
I was taking some time domain measurements of my AWR1243BOOST board. I programmed a frame with 7 chirps, 195us idle time and 50us ramp time. I see that the TX is active even during the idle time, when it is transmitting a constant frequency at chirp_start_freq (in my case, 77.0 GHz).
You can see this in the attached scope capture, where the high amplitude portion is the idle time and the intervals in between are the chirps. After the full frame is completed, the TX is turned off.
Is this expected behavior? As I understand from the documentation (http://www.ti.com/lit/an/swra553/swra553.pdf), the TX should be off during the idle time.
Can you explain this discrepancy? If the TX is always on, what is the meaning of the tx_start_time parameter?
Thanks,
Antonio
