IWR6843: Beam forming and steering IWR6843X

Hi,

I saw Tx phasers of IWR1xxx were used to avoid interference rather than beam streering some topics in the forum and did not find any formal documents about IWR6843.

Does IWR684x support beam steering? Is there any demo available for IWR6843?

IWR6843 ES2 support 6 bit phase shifter for TX beamforming (with a step size of 5.625 degree).

We are currently developing a lab demo with IWR6843 ES2 using TX beamforming to reach longer range for people counting. Please check back in Jan. But it is not for interference avoidance. Can you explain more about using beamforming for interference avoidance?

I saw some topics in this forum said phasers were used for interference avoidance, but no details were given there.
