Hello.
Can the PGA411-Q1 evaluation module, in addition to emulating an incremental encoder, emulate a Hall effect sensor?
Regards.

HI Jorge,
The PGA411 EVM only emulates the encoder but not a hall effect sensor.

In the file "PGA411-Q1 Solve Sensor Interface", in section 7.3.10.4 Encoder-Emulated Output has the following information.
The commutation output signals, U, V, W, U1, V1, and W1, are multiplexed onto the ORD0 through ORD5 pins only. When the OMODE pin is set low (DGND) the PGA411-Q1 device is configured in encoder-emulator mode and the ORD0 through ORD5 pins output the assigned emulator signal.
So what is the exact function of the outputs U, V, W, U1, V1, and W1?
What does section 7.3.10.4 Encoder-Emulated Output refer to with the assigned emulator signal?
Regards.
Hi Jorge,
Sorry for the delayed response as most of us are on vacation during the holidays.
The behavior of the Encoder-Emulated outputs is shown in Fig.36 of the datasheet at the bottom of 7.3.10.4. Let me know if you have any questions on this.
Regards
Sharath.
