IWR1642BOOST: Configure and trigger IWR1642BOOST without mmWave Studio

Hello,

Currently, I'm trying to build custom application which is intended to trigger IWR1642 and capture raw data from DCA1000EVM.

I'm now able to capture raw data from DCA1000EVM with my own script, but I still need to configure and trigger IWR1642 with mmWave studio.

I came across this thread https://e2e.ti.com/support/sensors/f/1023/p/826017/3055751#3055751, which directs me to c:\ti\mmwave_dfp_01_02_05_01\ti\example\mmwavelink_example.

However, I failed to apply this application on my IWR1642BOOST board as it is dedicated for ARW1243.

So I'm wondering could I manipulate IWR1642BOOST sensor with custom script in C++/C language? Should I make some adaptions to this mmwavelink_example?

Hi Eson,

You should be using mmWave-Studio for this application. The mmWave-DFP is for all mmwave devices and is used to configure the radar front-end which is why it is referred to as AWR1243.

If I'm not making it wrong, you mean that mmwavelink_example can be modified to apply on IWR1642BOOST. How could I do the adaptation please?
