Hi,

I am running 68xx_3D_people_counting lab in mmwave_industrial_toolbox_4_2_0 using the following FW and cfg.

FW:"C:\ti\mmwave_industrial_toolbox_4_2_0\labs\people_counting\68xx_3D_people_counting\prebuilt_binaries\3D_people_count_68xx_demo.bin"

cfg:"C:\ti\mmwave_industrial_toolbox_4_2_0\labs\people_counting\68xx_3D_people_counting\chirp_configs\ODS_6m_default.cfg"

When I send the cfg file above to the device through serial port just after turning on the device, it returns "Done" to "sensorStart" command and starts sending radar data back to PC.

However, while it is already running, when I send the cfg file to it again, it doesn't return "Done" or even an error, and stops sending radar data.

Why is this so?

Hi Fields,

The device does not reconfigure without reset while running this demo due to memory limitations. As a result, the device halts when receiving a second configuration.

Hi Justin,

Even while it is running, some commands other than "sensorStart" seem to be working OK, for example "sensorPosition" command.

Which commands need reset and which dont't?

Also, is there a way to make software reset without actually pressing the reset button?

Hi Fields,

1. Can the software reset? - You can modify the board to link the reset button to a GPIO, then set the GPIO high when you want to reset.

2. Which commands need reset? - Every command besides sensorPosition will require reset to take effect.
