Part Number: TMP451

The above mentioned temperature sensor have two sensor pins such as THERM(pin 4) and THERM2/ALERT (pin 6). Can i use one pin only and kept the other pin as just pulled up ?

or can i connect both the pins together and pull up by a single resistor?

    Hi Jefin,

    You can use one, both, or neither of the pins depending on what you would like to do in your application. Tying both the pins together through one pull-up resistor would "wired OR" the outputs. Therefore, if one of the pins goes Low your output would be Low.
