AWR1243: Enabling BPM and Phase Shift on AWR1243P

Hello,

AWR1243P has BPM as well as Phase Shifter with 5.625 deg resolution.

Is it possible to enable both BPM and phase shift in parallel?

Or we can enable only one of them?

Hi Cesar,

In Figure 6-3. Transmit Subsystem (Per Channel), in awr1243.pdf, I see two phase control input for TX phase shifter.

(1) binary phase modulation from Timing Engine

(2) 5.625deg step Fine Phase Shifter Control

It looks like we can configure (1) and (2) independently by using corresponding APIs.

I’m not sure if it is beneficial for actual usecase but technically possible to change TX phase by (2) while dong BPM by (1) ?

We recommend to use only Phase Shifter
