OPT3004: ESD and surge protection

Hi Team,

Do we need to add any kind of protective film on the top side of the sensor to protect it from ESD or surge events? If yes, what kind of material would you recommend?

Hi Roy,

OPT3004 does have ESD protection please refer to the datasheet section 6.2 ESD Ratings.
